As a luxury travel manager, I spend my days crafting honeymoons for other people. But booking my own? Honestly, it’s been a wild ride down the rabbit hole. There’s something uniquely stressful about planning your own honeymoon! I thought I’d pull back the curtain and share what I’ve been obsessing over as I try to choose the right Maldives resort, not just for me, but for every trip I curate.

The past decade has seen tourism in Japan absolutely blow up as a tourist destination. The country has gone from (relative) obscurity to being one of the biggest hotspots of the 2020s. In fact, 2024 saw a staggering 36.9 million international tourists crossing over its borders. One question I’m frequently asked is, “So, when is the best time to go to Japan?” 

Life as a new parent is one of the most beautiful, overwhelming shifts in life you’ll ever experience. Between the changing of nappies, disrupted sleep patterns, and getting to know the newest member of your family, it can seem like the elusive desire to travel is all but a distant memory. Or maybe something to look forward to in a few years, say, when they are 21 and moving out of home

When you’re in the business of travel, people often ask you what your favourite destination is. When faced with this question, I always like to stop and really weigh up my options before I give an answer. But no matter how much time I take to consider it, my heart always comes back to the same place: Africa. 

It’s confession time. I simply cannot get enough of a ski trip. I’m not sure whether it’s being immersed in an environment completely foreign home, the thrill of hitting the slopes, or just the rewarding hot cocoa (or mulled wine) after a full day in the cold, but I’m in love with it. Don’t get me wrong, I have deep love for warmer climates (I recently discussed why Africa should be on your travel bucket list), but a skiing holiday is unlike any other kind of trip you can take. 

Oh, Canada! It’s not my home, it’s not my native land, but the pristine landscapes, accommodating people, and sense of wonder and awe it fills me with have made it one of my favourite destinations to visit. I’ve been fortunate to experience the great Northern American Country twice now, and both trips (while profoundly different) had me going home with a small piece of my heart forever left behind in The Great White North. Let me take you through both experiences.
